The Sikh Society of Calgary is embarking on a heartfelt journey to the renewal of Calgary’s first Gurduara Sahib, established in 1979 by courageous Sikh pioneers whose vision, faith, and seva brought our community together in a spirit of unity and grace.

For more than 45 years, this Gurduara Sahib has been a sacred space, a place of prayer, peace, and community. It has embraced generations of Sikh families, guided countless hearts through life’s milestones, and stood as a beacon of our Sikh identity in Calgary.

Today, we look to the future with gratitude for the past and hope for what’s ahead.

While the Gurduara Sahib has seen cosmetic changes over the decades, the time has come for meaningful, lasting improvements. We now need to carry out essential electrical, mechanical, and structural upgrades so this spiritual home can continue to grow with our sangat and meet the needs of our future generations.

This is more than a renovation. It is an opportunity for seva. It is a chance to honour the legacy of those who built with sacrifice, and to uplift the generations yet to walk through these doors.

Let us come together, as one sangat, and shape the next chapter of Calgary’s Sikh legacy with vision, compassion, and Chardi Kalaa.

We invite you with humility and love to be part of this moment. Your contribution is not just a donation. It is a gift of faith, a symbol of unity, and an offering to the Guru’s house. Donations are eligible for a tax receipt.
